Enjoy Nature
Im sitting on a bench, outside on campus. I never realized how even though there is many people around you can still hear and enjoy nature. Even giving yourself at least five minutes a day in between classes to sit and look around at different faces, the sky, hearing the trees leaves rustling with the wind. It's nice to feel the breeze coming from behind, as if it is giving you a hug. It's interesting to listen to the different sound each bird makes, even a crow. The shadows from the trees are huge, and there are leaves everywhere. Today does feel a little like fall, the sun isn't as strong as usual, and it's not as hot. I can also hear someone practicing their horn, it gives it a nice touch, it almost feels as if it is part of nature. It's a little annoying when you see how many of us don't enjoy the beauty we have around us. We're always either texting, talking on the phone or listening to our ipod. So next time you go on a jog or are walking outside take time to listen to the birds singing, the air whistling, the trees shuffling, and the dogs barking. TRUST ME IT REALLY HELPS WHEN YOU'RE STRESSED.

It's true...we are always too distracted by electronics and things around us to take time and just notice the small things, including the zen that surrounds us. Thanks for reminding us to "take time and smell the roses." :)
