Unhappiness Disguised....

We sometimes disguise our unhappiness by messing up our body, such as smoking, drinking, excess weight gain, or unhealthy eating habits, etc. There are many people who turn to alcoholism because they are stressed, depressed, angry, lonely, or sad. For example I was in a relationship in which every time me and my ex got into a fight or i didn't hang out with him he would drink. I would call him to try to talk it out but how can you talk to someone when they're in such a state. he would drink and start thinking of all his problems, when the reason he would drink was to forget. It only makes things worse...... I know i sometimes turn to unhealthy eating habits, such as skipping meals or overeating when I'm stressed or angry. It then causes me to feel sick, weak or guilty for over eating. I end up feeling worse about everything. many use smoking as a way to control their stress, it leads to being unhealthy and can cause serious damage to your body, sometimes cancer. Instead of turning to such habits should find positive habits or hobbies we can do instead...such as.... working out, fishing, drawing, etc... So find something you like to do thats positive and ultimately will make you happy and leads to a healthy mind and body.
